The Practice Has A Full Complement Of Ancillary Staff
Practice Development Manager Mrs Pauline Young
We have six full-time and one part-time receptionists, plus two secretaries, one personal assistant, two clinic co-ordinators, five members of the administrative team and one healthcare assistant and one phlebotomist between the two sites.
The practice also employs five practice nursing sisters who run a variety of clinics which include diabetes, asthma, hypertension, stop smoking, weight reduction, stress, travel and childhood immunisations, minor surgery, well person, cervical smears, primary cardiac clinic and men’s health clinic. We also offer flu vaccines to people at risk. The sisters are available for advice at Mauchline and Catrine surgeries. We also have attached staff: district nurses, health visitors, midwife, community psychiatric nurses and social workers, who are all part of our team.
We also have three members of the social work department attached to our team. From time to time there may be confidential information we will need to share with them. Social work employees are bound by the same code of confidentiality as all health professional employees, but if any patient feels that they would not wish any information in their notes divulged to social work, please speak to Mrs Pauline Young, practice development manager.
